Today has been an amazingly productive day.
I started my productive day with a delicious smoothie. It has been so long since I last had one, so even though the weather is only in the 40s a smoothie is what satisfied my morning hunger.
My smoothie included frozen strawberries, frozen bananas, peanut butter, spinach, instant coffee, nonfat plain Greek yogurt, almond milk, and a little bit of GNC’s Total Lean Chocolate Protein Powder for some chocolate flavor. This smoothie was Super creamy and totally hit the spot.
I then got straight to working on my family’s Christmas gifts. Each year, we make homemade gifts for each other. It started out as being an activity for just my siblings and me, but now my mom is involved and Brian has started making crafts too!
There were several years that I remember struggling to come up with the perfect homemade gift idea. Now, thanks to Pinterest, there are so many ideas out there! It is hard to narrow down the list of crafts that I want to make.
I was able to get all of the gifts made, wrapped, and under the tree…sorry that I can’t share what I made with you just yet. You will have to wait for Christmas for that!
After making and wrapping the gifts and sending some wedding and blog e-mails, I was hungry and ready for lunch.
I made myself a little snacking plate of chopped veggies, hummus, and a veggie burger. This veggie burger was not your typical burger. I decided to go out on a limb at the grocery and tried the new-to-me Boca Bruschetta Tomato Basil Parmesan Veggie Patties.
This veggie burger was delicious! I could taste the basil and parmesan, and loved that it didn’t taste like a typical burger. Today, I just tried it plain but I cannot wait to try it as a lettuce wrap, or in a salad later in the week!
Now, I am off to the bridal store with one of my brides maids so that she can try on her dress.
Happy productive and relaxing Sunday!
Do you drink smoothies even when it is cold outside?
Do you ever make homemade gifts for your family? If you do, what have you made in the past?
