With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, I know that some of you may still be searching for ideas for a special date to go on with your significant other. A lot of times, dates are often centered around being indulgent and can get a little less than healthy. I thought that a round-up of healthier date ideas may be a helpful way to share fun, unique, and somewhat active ways to spend time with the one that you love!
This activity can seem a little intimidating, but it is so fun! It is a great way to show that you trust each other, and I promise that you will be feeling a little sore from the great arm and leg workout that you received while having such a great time!
Bowling is a great way to be active while having fun at the same time. I always forget about bowling as a date option because honestly…I’m not that great at it, but at the end of the day…who really is?!
This is a great way to take advantage of local organizations, and get your walk on! Museums are inexpensive and a great way to learn about your area. Brian and I attended the Indiana History Museum and loved how interactive it was, we loved learning about Indiana, and it was great to spend time together!
- Cook a Delicious Meal Together
Brian and I love cooking a new or fancy meal together. Cooking can be much healthier than going out to a fancy meal because you are able to control the ingredients and know exactly what you are putting into something. You can also control your own portion sizes. Here are some healthy date night recipes complete with dessert:
- Go on a Bike Ride
Of course this one is weather permitting, but when the sun is shining and it is a bit warmer out Brian and I love taking our bikes out for a spin!!
