Happy last day of February! I can’t believe March is here tomorrow, and we are still expecting BIG snow storms here in Indiana. I’m trying not to complain too much about the weather since there is absolutely nothing anyone can do about it, BUT I honestly can’t wait for spring, sunshine, and all things GREEN! Here’s to the last round of Five Things Friday this month. Thanks for hosting this fabulous weekly roundup, Clare!
Five Things I Ate:
Baked sweet potato topped with cinnamon…seriously so simple and SO good! Tastes just like sweet potato casserole to me 🙂
Endurance crackers…can’t get enough of these delicious seed crackers! If you haven’t tried them, definitely give them a go. Salmon, roasted veggies, and spaghetti squash. Simple, nutritious, and it comes together in just about 30 minutes. Can’t beat that! Slow Cooker Chicken Soup…another easy peasy meal that is ready to go as soon as you get home.
Asparagus in my eggs. A delicious change from the usual spinach I incorporate in my morning meal.
- Run (7 miles again, but a much quicker pace and no slush/ice!)
Five Things Making Me Happy:
Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime Herbal Tea. This stuff is perfect to sip on in the evenings as Brian and I wind down and get ready for bed. So relaxing.
I received the new Bodypump and CXWORX releases and cannot WAIT to dig in and start learning! It’s always fun to see the new innovations the Les Mills team comes up with and hear the new music.
Spring clothes from boutiquey shops. I follow a few smaller boutique shops on instagram and twitter and I am LOVING all of the beautiful spring clothes that are coming in. I’m thinking I may need to purchase one or two items to satisfy my shopping craving 🙂
“Healthy” baking! I have been totally in the mood to bake and there are so many healthier, experimental baking projects I want to try that I am not quite sure where to start!
These Avocado Chocolate Cookies look pretty delicious 🙂
The last thing I am “happy about” (of course there are lots of things to be happy about!) Brian and I have a weekend with essentially no plans! Brian has his big boards (huge dental exam) this weekend, so we will just be relaxing, laying low, and staying as stress free as possible!
