Strawberries are definitely a fruit of the summer, and considering that it’s September now you may be wondering why I am sharing a recipe like this.  For starters, I completely adore strawberries, and strawberries are in season from June to September.  So I’m using this yummy salsa as my last hurrah with my beloved fresh strawberries.

Another reason why I love this recipe?  It’s low FODMAP!

Use up those summer strawberries in a delicious, zesty fruit salsa! Click To Tweet

It also takes no time at all to throw together.  Brian and I love having this salsa with fish tacos, over chicken, in taco salads, and it’s also great for dipping corn tortilla or plantain chips in 🙂

I hope you enjoy!!!

  1. I have had peach salsa but never strawberry! I have jalapenos from my CSA so will give this a try. I think my kids will love it!

So perfect!! I think your kids will love it too…not too spicy!! And you can adjust the heat by adding less/more jalapeno.

  2. I just made tomato salsa, now it’s time to try your strawberry salsa!

  3. Heck yes I am a SALSA fan :)! I have to admit, I usually don’t mix my F and V- however, I think you sold me at jalapeno on this one! I can’t wait to try it. My fav salsa I would have to say is a thick pico with lots of cilantro and a generous helping of jalapeno and serano peppers 🙂 Yum!

It doesn’t taste overly “Fruity” so it really is great on fish tacos or with plantain chips or something like that 🙂 Your salsa sounds delish too!!

  4. Now I am so intrigued! I don’t think I’ve ever had a strawberry-pepper-jalapeno salsa ever before! I am really loving the blend of spicy and sweet in this – definitely gonna have to try this – thanks so much for the inspiration!

  5. Mmm this sounds so great! I’ll definitely have to try it out. Thanks for the recipe!

  6. This sounds incredible. I love the typical, spicy, salsa, but I’ve recently gotten into mango salsa. This recipe sounds awesome – I need to try it out ASAP while Strawberries are still in season! 🙂

  7. Wow this looks amazing! We are going to a party this weekend and this might be exactly the perfect thing to bring!! Pinning!

  8. O spicy! I love it! All the red veggies too! Salsa lovin’!

  9. I love salsas that mix sweet and spicy flavors! I could pretty much eat this all day long!

  10. Strawberry and lime are a match made in heaven (plus chili with anything!) I can’t wait for our summer fruits to start coming back into season so I can make things like this 🙂
