Dog Treat Sandwich Cookies

Dog Treat Sandwich Cookies are the perfect holiday  treat for your furry friend.

Dog Treat Sandwich Cookies

It’s the final day of COOKIE WEEK here on the blog, and the celebration wouldn’t be complete without sharing a treat for my fur children.

I’ve made cut-out treats before (this recipe makes a TON!), but I wanted to make something EXTRA special for the pups this holiday season.

Bernie’s birthday is December 3, so this recipe also doubled as his birthday treat and Bernie and Rooney seriously LOOOOVE these cookies.

Dog Treat Sandwich Cookies

The cookie is made with pumpkin, whole wheat flour, oats, peanut butter, eggs and applesauce and the filling is simply plain Greek yogurt and peanut butter…literally all of my pups favorite things.

Dog Treat Sandwich Cookies

The cookies I made were a little large, so I split one cookie between the two dogs.  If you have smaller dogs, or want more cookies – just make the dough into smaller balls before baking!

I swear, your dog will flip for them!!

Another tip – we store these cookies in the freezer so they last longer AND so it takes the pups a little longer to eat them.

I hope you and your pups enjoy and have the happiest holiday season!

  1. I know that my pup would love these! She’s always right next to me when I cook & bake.. I can’t imagine how excited she’d be if the goodies were actually for her for a change 🙂

  2. OMG..These look adorable. I think my friend’s dog would lick the plate clean under a minute. Thanks for this recipe. Also check out my new baking website https://greedyeats.com/ if you get a chance.
